Josh and Erica

Here is one of my mini sessions from the past couple of weeks.  Erica was one of my friends in middle school and we were able to connect through Facebook.  Obviously!  I was able to do a shoot for her and her husband, Josh.  It was on a Sunday and it was snowing that day.  It was freezing!  We could not sit on anything because everything was wet and cold, but it turned out awesome!  They are such a nice couple and I can't wait to hang out with them and get to know them better!

Thanks Josh and Erica!  Merry Christmas!

Nick, Kristy and Aria

This was one of my many Christmas mini's from the past week.  Kristy is a very good friend of mine from college and we also used to work together.  She has been such a good friend and we are trying our hardest to begin hanging out again on a regular basis.  We have realized that we both love to scrapbook.  We are now having weekly scrapbook dates so we can finish projects that we have started but not finished.  Hopefully I can help her with Aria's book and help her get caught up on the last couple of years.  And hopefully she can help me get caught up on my scrapbook of mine and Austin's first two years before I need to scrapbook for the wedding!  Kristy and I have always found stuff that we have in common so this is just one more thing!  Kristy has the cutest little girl with the reddest hair I have ever seen!  Aria is in pre-k and oh my goodness is she a diva!  Here are a few of my favorites!  I hope you like them!

This is Aria.  Look at that hair!

A family pic.  I really like this one!

Nick and Kristy.  I loved the lighting here!

Thanks Nick, Kristy and Aria for the opportunity!

The Wahl Family

Michael and Starla are an awesome couple and they have three beautiful girls, Brittany, Bailey and Bethany.  My soon to be husband (Ahhhh!!!) works in the student ministry at Hope Church in Dallas under Michael.  I know that Michael has been a great help and a mentor to Austin over the past three years, as well as an awesome friend!  Thanks Michael for all you do!  The first day we scheduled a shoot it was absolutely freezing and it started pouring rain!  So we had to reschedule.  The second shoot was awesome!  The weather was great and they were awesome!  Glad I had the opportunity to photograph them!

Shipp Family

It's been a while since I have posted!  I have had several shoots but I have not put them up.  I had the privilege of photographing the Shipp kids one Saturday morning.  And oh my goodness it was FREEZING!  Jason drove their car over so that the kids who were not getting their picture made could sit in the heat!  It was a quick shoot because of the cold and because the kids were awesome and got straight down to business!  Here are a few of my favorites.

Jack is such a little man!

This is Lily.  This ended up being my favorite picture from the whole shoot.  That serious face is awesome!  So photogenic!

Besides being absolutely beautiful, Abbie is probably the funniest middle school student I have EVER met!  She makes me laugh so much!  Beautiful Abbie!

The whole family.  They were frozen at this point!  Can you tell?  I thought this picture turned out super cute.

Thank you Shipp Family!

Katie's Senior Pictures

This was my first time doing senior portraits.  Katie wanted to go to White Oak Park in Dallas to do her pictures.  It was a beautiful morning!  Not to hot, not to cold.  The sun was perfect.  The awesome thing about Katie was that I never really had to tell her what to do, she always just did her own thing.  The pictures turned out really pretty!  Katie is such a pretty girl and has the best smile!

This was a great spot!

Love the coloring of this one!

This was our last shot of the day.  Turned out to be one of my favorites!

Mom wanted one with her too!  Do they favor one another or what?

Thanks Katie for a great shoot!

The Ahrens Family

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing a family from church.  I met them through their oldest daughter, Rebecca.  Rebecca is in my small group at Fusion which is our student ministry.  I had her when she was in 7th grade and now she is in 8th grade and I am still her small group leader this year.  Rebecca is such a beautiful girl with an amazing personality.  I have enjoyed getting to know her over the past couple of years.  This family is wonderful!  Rebecca's mom and dad are some of the nicest people I have ever met and it's very evident that they are completely in love with one another!  It's awesome to see a couple as happy as they are.  You can tell how happy they are just by looking at their pictures.  And then there is Emma.  Such a cute girl!  Emma is extremely photogenic and was down for whatever I asked her to do.  This was such a great shoot!  I enjoyed it so much.  Here are just a few!

Beautiful Family!  I LOVE this shot!

This is Emma.  I have to say that this was my favorite shot from the whole day.  She is so photogenic!

Rebecca is such a beautiful girl!  I loved the pink scarf against the turquoise door.

And last but not least........Marc and Joyce.  Such a good looking couple!  Also took some great pictures that day!

Thanks to the Ahrens Family for such an awesome shoot!!!

I love my family!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to do a shoot with my cousin and her two kids.  My cousin has two amazing kids!  They are the most polite and sweetest kids.  They were such a joy to photograph and I look forward to photographing them again sometime in the future.  I just wanted to post a couple of my favorite shots from this shoot.

Matt and Heather

Last weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Matt and Heather.  Heather was one of my most favorite students from McEachern.  I was with her from her freshman year all the way to her senior year.  I was able to form an awesome relationship with her and we are still good friends now.  Heather is one of the sweetest girls I know!  Besides that, she is beautiful and has so much going for her and her future!  This was the first time I met Matt, but Heather has told me great things about him!  This shoot was a lot of fun!  You can't tell by looking at the pictures, but it was extremely hot that day!  Here is my favorite from the shoot.  Enjoy!

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog!  This has been a long time coming and I am excited to have everything up and running!  For quite some time now I have been working on my photography business.  Photography has been a hobby of mine for a very long time but I never took it to the next level until I got a job working in a traditional studio.  Working there showed me that it was something I could do and that I actually have talent!  I am excited to finally have a site for you to view so that you can see my work and keep up with me!  So my first post is going to be just that, samples of my work from different events.  I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to hear from you about booking a shoot!
